As another incredible school year comes to a close, we’re bursting with pride over the many achievements our pupils and staff have celebrated right up until the last day—from academic triumphs to artistic talents to full attendance and sporting victories. We want to congratulate our Senior Infant boys as they graduate from St Joseph’s & we wish them all the very best as they continue to 1st Class in respective schools.
While we look forward to sharing booklists and our new school calendar to help you prepare for the school year ahead, we first wish all our families a safe, relaxing, and joy-filled summer. Enjoy the sunshine—you’ve earned it!
(Please be reminded that the school will provide all the texts books listed at the top of the booklist. Parents / Guardians must only provide the items listed in the centre beginning with ‘Each pupil will need the following…’)

6th Class donating the proceeds of their Bake Sale to Mrs Dorothy Bradish, on behalf of the Irish Cancer Society. €1009 has been donated to the Irish Cancer Society.

The much-anticipated annual game of rounders. It’s a wonderful tradition where quick feet, good-humoured banter and the occasional surprise home run make for an unforgettable afternoon. Delighted to welcome Fr Dominic to the staff team for the occasion! More than just a game, it’s a joyful celebration of community, connection and the end-of-year spirit that brings everyone together.

Congratulations to 6 pupils for achieving full attendance this school year — a fantastic accomplishment that reflects their dedication and the wonderful support of their families. Well done on this shared commitment!

Senior Infant Graduates!

We extend our sincere thanks to both of these 6th Class girls for their exceptional artistic talents in sketching significant landmarks of our town, including our school! Their impressive drawings beautifully capture the essence of our rich heritage here in Templemore. Together with ‘Heritage Keepers Ireland’ & Templemore Community Development Association as well as local historians Frances Maxwell, Bridget Jones & Ronan Loughnane, the sketches will be proudly featured on a child-friendly heritage map, to be launched in September.

Lastly, we’re incredibly proud to share the news that our Student Council has achieved UNICEF’s Gold Ribbon Award for their outstanding work in promoting children’s rights, both locally and globally.
Their dedication, creativity and tireless efforts have made a real difference in raising awareness and championing the rights of children everywhere.
